Hi! My name is Hope. Thank you so much for visiting my personal style blog!

I have lived in a few different places in the United States and abroad, but I currently reside in New York City. I have been married to my wonderful husband Chad since 2009, and I'm so proud of him as he studies historic preservation at a graduate level. We have a Basset Hound named Eleanor and love our little family.

I have an undergraduate degree in English with a writing concentration, and I am a writing and editing professional. In my career and studies, I have been responsible for writing and editing projects in a range of fields, including public relations, literary journals and marketing.

A Flattering Tale began as a creative outlet for exploring personal style, inspiration and the fashion industry as a whole. I am honored to have amazing readers, and I'm so grateful for all the places blogging as taken me.
